Butterfly Displays

Sometimes it's not possible to release butterflies at your event due to weather or time of day. The butterfly lanterns are perfect for this occasion.

 

Planning a Successful Butterfly Release

Hold your release in an area protected from the wind, or they will quickly disappear. A sunny flower filled garden is best. The butterflies' first flight is usually very short and will instinctively fly towards the brightest object - people wearing bright colours - bouquets of flowers.
A successful release cannot be guaranteed if the temperature is below 17° Celsius or if there is heavy rain at the time of your release.


You should plan to release your butterflies no later than one hour before sunset as the butterflies need to find nectar (food) and a safe place for the night.
